BCI Export Division Sdn Bhd ( BCIE) was formed in 1997 as a joint venture between Australian and Malaysian bus industry members. Evolving somewhat since inception the core relationship continues to strengthen today.
BCIE specialises in the use of an aluminium system developed by global aluminium giant Alcan Inc (www.alcan-masstransportation.com). The license holder, Efficient Auto Sdn Bhd (EASB), is a company also owned by the BCIE shareholders.
BCIE's and EASB's Malaysian partner is Gemilang Coachwork Sdn Bhd, a major bus body builder, based in Johor Bahru.
Furthermore another company, GMS Coach Technology Sdn Bhd was formed to market the BCIE products in selected parts of Asia.
Since 2003, BCIE have supplied over 300 aluminium bus bodies into Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia.
BCIE can support customer's requirements by developing solutions to supply city-buses and coaches in complete or semi complete knock down forms.
